Treatment Information:

Wrinkle treatments

Aesthetic injectable wrinkle treatments are used to soften the appearance of dynamic lines caused by repeated facial movement, such as frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet. Other areas of the face may also be treated, such as eyebrow lifting, nasal (bunny) lines, nasal tip elevation, upper lip lines, chin lines, marionette (corners of mouth) lines, chin lines and jawline contouring.

These treatments work by temporarily relaxing targeted facial muscles, allowing the overlying skin to appear smoother while preserving natural expression. When performed with a conservative, tailored approach, results are subtle, refreshed and aligned with your individual facial anatomy.

At Dr Irene Kushelew’s clinic, treatment planning is guided by a detailed understanding of facial structure, movement patterns and skin quality. Rather than treating lines in isolation, a comprehensive assessment considers how different muscle groups interact, ensuring balanced, harmonious outcomes. This approach supports a natural-looking result that avoids an over-treated or “frozen” appearance, while maintaining the character and individuality of the face.

Treatments are typically quick and require minimal downtime, making them a practical option for those seeking gradual, low-interruption aesthetic maintenance. Results develop over several days and are temporary, with longevity varying between individuals depending on factors such as metabolism, muscle activity and lifestyle. Regular review appointments allow for adjustments over time to maintain consistency and optimise outcomes.

As with all cosmetic procedures, suitability varies from person to person. A personalised consultation is essential to determine whether treatment is appropriate, discuss expected outcomes and outline potential risks. Dr Kushelew prioritises patient education and informed decision-making, ensuring all treatments are delivered in line with current Australian regulatory guidelines and with a strong focus on safety, precision and natural results.

Volume treatments

Eight point non-surgical face-lift

Dr Kushelew uses facial fillers to achieve effective, holistic and natural-looking results in facial rejuvenation. She often uses the eight-point lift technique to rejuvenate the entire cheek, mid-face and jawline.

Eight points of rejuvenation

1 & 2 – Outer and Inner Cheek bone: Restore volume and reshape the natural ‘ogee’ curve, the ‘S-shaped’ curve that runs over the cheek bone

3 – Tear trough: Reduce shadowing and depressions under the eyes

4 – Nasolabial folds: Fill the lines that run from the nose to the mouth

5 – Corners of the mouth: Correct the ‘mouth frown’ that can occur when the corners of the mouth turn downwards with age, leading to a sad appearance

6 – Pre-jowl area: Lift the mid-face and counter the appearance of heavy jowls

7 – Jawline: Redefine the jawline, running from under the ears to the chin

8 – Mid face: Add volume and fill the cheeks to counter the hollowness that can occur with ageing

Six point non-surgical eye-lift

The eye area is one of the first to show the signs of ageing. Wrinkles, heavy eyelids and dark circles under the eyes can contribute to a tired and aged appearance. So much so that, by rejuvenating the eye area, the whole face often appears more youthful and refreshed.

Surgery is not always necessary to correct ageing in the eye area. Treatment with facial fillers signify a non-surgical alternative to lift and open the eyes for a more youthful appearance.

When treated in precise points around the orbital rim, the result can be to lift excess skin, reduce hollows and dark circles under the eyes, and improve the appearance of deep wrinkles and folds.

Dr Kushelew is an experienced cosmetic doctor, renowned for her consistent, natural-looking and effective results in facial rejuvenation. She often performs the six-point non-surgical eye-lift, sometimes alongside wrinkle treatments, to achieve a balanced, harmonious result in the eye area.

Six points of rejuvenation

1 – Lift the drooping brow – often called brow ptosis

2 – Correct fat accumulation and skin excess in the upper eyelid

3 – Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

4 – Fill depressions in the tear trough

5 – Reduce bags and lift fatty tissue under the eyes

6 – Improve the interaction between the lower lid and upper cheek
